This star has an alleged lookalike son who has been fighting to be acknowledged by the man he claims to be his dad for more than ten years. The singer has denied being the young man’s father for a long time and refused to take a DNA test.
This renowned artist and his equally famous wife are considered one of the world’s most influential power couples, each building empires around their musical talent.
However, like any relationship in the spotlight, theirs has faced challenges, with some issues reportedly bringing them close to separation.
One of the most controversial issues surrounding their relationship surfaced in 2015 when a then-21-year-old rapper named Rymir Satterthwaite filed a lawsuit, claiming that this hip-hop mogul was his biological father.
Rymir’s mother, Wanda, had reportedly been involved with the renowned artist in the 1990s before their career took off.
The Satterthwaites stated at the time that they hadn’t expected the publicity the claims generated and were “shocked” by the leaking of the lawsuit to the press.
The lawsuit, which alleged the rapper had an affair with Rymir’s mom in 1992, was first filed in a civil court in December 2014. However, the court threw it out because false information had been provided to the court.
According to Rymir, he was eight when his mom told him she believed the singer fathered him. While Rymir has been seeking recognition, the rapper is reportedly determined to not accept him as his son.
Rymir’s request for a paternity test was initially declined because the court believed his birth father had been found. It wasn’t resolved until a birth certificate revealing no other man registered as his father was submitted as evidence.
Originally, Robert Graves was listed as the father on the birth certificate. In 2011, his name was removed after a DNA test was conducted. The results proved Graves was not the father.
The famous musician was asked to take the test as well, but he refused.
Rymir’s guardian even initiated legal proceedings against their lawyers. They believed the lawyers cooperated with the musician’s legal team to deliberately obstruct the paternity test process, preventing it from being completed successfully.
Rymir claims he is being denied a fair hearing that he thinks is a right he should enjoy as a citizen of the country. He emphasized he isn’t seeking financial gain, but just wants the artist to “finally tell the truth to the world.”
Rymir believes anyone else would have been mandated to take the test by now, but his alleged parent keeps getting away with not doing it because he is wealthy.
How Did the Star’s Wife React?
Regarding the musician’s spouse, they got married in a secret wedding witnessed by close friends and family on April 4, 2008. The two started dating while building their careers and have become one of the power couples in the industry.
People admired the couple’s love life, but issues with the rapper’s infidelity and past kept resurfacing. In 2011, it was revealed that he was the father of a young boy being raised by Trinidad model Shenelle Scott.
A man named Malik Sayeed was wrongly registered as the father, but a DNA test confirmed he wasn’t, and weeks later, the child was confirmed as the musician’s.
The star’s wife, Beyoncé was pregnant with their first child at the time. At first, she was angry, but she later accepted her husband’s past.
In Rymir’s case, the “Song Cry” singer refused to acknowledge him as his son. The star has also been associated with well-founded allegations of infidelity that started in 2014.
Regarding the cheating allegations, Beyoncé responded with an album containing songs about a woman realizing her partner is unfaithful. The rapper acknowledged he wasn’t surprised his wife chose that creative avenue to express her truth.
Additionally, the “Young Forever” singer has used his own music to address Rymir’s claim of being his son. His song “Heard About Us” addressed the allegation, likening it to the Michael Jackson classic “Billie Jean,” where Jackson denied fathering a child with an obsessed fan.
The Star’s Love Story
It’s believed the star met Beyoncé between 1997 and 2000. One particular fact is that the two met when she was 18 but didn’t start dating until she clocked 19.
They were sighted in public in 2001, but it wasn’t until 2002 that people started noticing. Beyoncé was featured on the musician’s track ‘”03 Bonnie & Clyde” that year, and she also appeared as Bonnie in the following video.
The “Marcy Me” singer publicly referred to Beyoncé as his “girlfriend,” increasing awareness of their growing intimacy. Though his inner circle knew of his affections after his “Bonnie and Clyde” track, he avoided public acknowledgment until April 2003, when he claimed they were just friends.
However, Beyoncé soon hinted at their relationship in her music, and by year-end, the singer was openly accepted as her boyfriend.
They made their first red carpet appearance in 2004 but faced allegations of the musician’s infidelity with Rihanna in 2005, which were quickly dismissed.
On April 4, 2008, the two got married, and the date is reportedly special as it pays homage to the importance of the number 4 in their life; they were both born on the 4th of their months.
In August 2011, they revealed they were expecting their first child, Blue Ivy Carter, born on January 7, 2012.
Since then, the pair have welcomed twins Sir and Rumi, and are determined parents. The singer, Jay-Z, takes his job as a dad seriously and is known to do his daddy duties happily.
A source has called the family tight-knit, and it’s been revealed that Beyoncé takes discipline very seriously.
She prefers to reason with her kids, and it has yielded results. Fans can’t wait to meet the young man and women they’ll grow up to become.
