TV Star Jai Evans, 43, Is Found Dead in His Luxury Apartment: Details

The well-known Australian PR guru and former TV star was found dead in his residence by police, sending shockwaves through the entertainment and media industries.

Jai Evans, a prominent PR executive and former actor known for his 1997 appearance on the long-running soap opera “Home & Away,” was discovered after passing in his Darlinghurst apartment in Sydney, Australia.

Evans’ body was found by police in his luxury residence on September 4, 2024. While an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death is ongoing, authorities have indicated there were “no apparent suspicious circumstances.”

A police spokesperson confirmed that officers from Kings Cross Police Area Command were preparing “a report for the information of the Coroner” concerning the passing of a 43-year-old man at his home. No further comments regarding the matter will be provided by the police.

The news of Evans’ death brought a wave of sorrow across social media, with tributes pouring in from industry figures and those who held him dear.

Bondi personality Dan Wootton shared his grief on Facebook. “RIP Jai Evans. Another beautiful friend was taken much too soon before his time. Your vibrant energy and eagerness to help was second to none. Rest easy Jai. Love you mate [sic],” he wrote.

Wootton also shared a beautiful poem by Michelle Meleen. His friends added their condolences to this post. “What a shock. So sad to see such a beautiful soul leave the world [sic],” someone wrote. Another person stated, “Rest in peace jai 😔💔[sic].

Evans had a long and storied career in the media and PR industries. After making his mark as an actor on “Home & Away,” he shifted gears to become a leading figure in public relations.

With over 20 years of experience, he worked with high-profile brands, celebrities like Lara Worthington, and ultra-wealthy individuals, managing complex projects and crafting strategies that shaped the industry.
